When I make a donation does a percentage of my gift get used for organizational expenses?
No. 100 percent of your donation is directed as designated by the donor. There aren’t many organizations that can promise that. The Alliance raises its operating budget separately from other donations.

Can I direct my gift to the Nashville Alliance for Public Education to a specific area or individual school?
Absolutely. The Nashville Alliance supports key academic areas such as reading, math and science, music education and faculty development and training. You can also direct your donation to a specific school or school program.

What projects is the Nashville Alliance for Public Education raising money for currently?
Currently, the Nashville Alliance is raising money for science equipment for the classroom, musical instruments for all students, reading resources to improve high school libraries and more.

What is the mission of the Nashville Alliance for Public Education?
Working in partnership with Metro Nashville Public Schools, the Nashville Alliance identifies areas of need and directs private resources to accelerate academic achievement. Most importantly, 100 percent of all contributions are disbursed as designated by our donors.

Do I need to give a certain amount to the Nashville Alliance?
Gifts over $1500 for a specific school or school program will need to be made payable to the Nashville Alliance. If you are interested in making other donations to support key focus areas or for areas of greatest need, a specific gift amount is not required. Donors are recognized at the following levels:

Elevate ($50,000 and above)
Empower ($25,000 – $49,999)
Energize ($10,000 – $24,999)
Enable ($5,000 – $9,999)
Encourage ($1,500 – $4,999)
Equip ($100 – $1,499)
Friends ($1 – $99)

Does the Nashville Alliance for Public Education accept in kind donations?
The Nashville Alliance will accept in-kind donations that have a direct impact on the strategic initiatives of the organization. However, the Alliance maintains sole discretion to refuse to any contribution from a third party.
